-There was finally and end to slavery. Everyone had their rights, and all equal.
-There was new education, homes and jobs for the southern habitants.
-This was a new start for the southern to integrate society and be part of civilization.
Failures:
- The south were slow at adapting to the north with it's economy and politics.
- Racism didn't end as intended. People still thought of themselves superior than the African-Americans.
-There were many corruption problems.
-There were also economical problems. With the union and the money spent on the reconstruction.
